We started with carpet covered plywood which all had to be removed.

First gauging templates were made on site,

then brought to the shop to create shaping templates.

We proceed by using the shaping templates

to lay out and join the oak treads together,

using glue and screws.

The bottom step was over sixteen

foot long.
